Bob did a fantastic job! I booked him to help serenade us while I popped the question. Bob was flexible as I had to change the time and was very prompt. The crowd at Martin’s tavern loved his performance. Very reasonably priced and an all around great guy. HIGHLY recommend!!

Blair, Thank you so much for inviting me to perform at your Traditional Scottish Brunch. The atmosphere was wonderful. Playing the Christmas tunes in sets sprinkled with the Scottish music on the Bagpipes was a pure enjoyment for me. IF you ever need a Bagpiper again please call. Rmitch242@gmail.com

Mike was the icing on top of a lovely day. We had 29 men in kilts and his music made them all cry. He was on time and independent. I was able to arrange everything by email and even surprised my groom~.

:

Amy did a wonderful job with the last minute change due to illness. Her wedding was spectacular. For me, this is the first wedding where I provide music and all the men in the wedding party and guests were "kilted out" and the ladies sporting Highland attire as well. Bob Mitchell

Robert was a true hero during our wedding. It was pouring rain and the plans were all over the map, but he never stopped playing and adapting to our changing schedule. He was kind and friendly and played beautifully the entire time. I would 100% recommend him for any occasion.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on August 26, 2019From Templeville, MD

He was prompt, well mannered, worked hard to please the audience.

:

The surprise party went without a hitch.. I was asked to provide 2 sets of bagpipe tunes and march from the front of the house to the backyard. I thought that the sets went a little long. However, I kept playing because the family really enjoyed the music. I arrived right on time and played some of the best music I have ever played on a beautifully tuned Scottish bagpipe. I was very surprised to see that the client gave me the worst evaluation I have ever received.

FuneralReviewed on April 8, 2019From Haddonfield, NJ

Robert was fantastic. Our priest allowed him inside the church at the end of the service to march and play up the isle and lead Grammy back down on her way to her final resting place. It was amazing and the exact way she would have liked to be sent off to heaven. He was superb!!

Excellent

Bradley, Thank you for contacting me to play the honors at Anna Cooper's Funeral on Dec. 3. I always appreciate the opportunity to send a loved one off with "Amazing Grace" played at the graveside service. At the end of the service, the family enjoys hearing some of the lovely tunes such as "Going Home", "Dream Valley of Glendaruel", and "When the Battle's O're". I was happy that everything went so smoothly thanks to your organizational and communication skills. R. Mitchell

FuneralReviewed on October 15, 2018From Charles Town, WV

Robert Mitchell played for my aunt’s recent funeral in a small town in West Virginia. He was a pleasure to work with, and shared his suggestions by phone and email as we finalized arrangements. He arrived on time smartly turned out, and filled all the transitions in the service with appropriate tunes. The segue into Amazing Grace was just lovely, and the music trailing off as he moved away at the end of the service was especially poignant, and amplified all our emotions, as good music will. Robert’s professionalism was a gift to all present. I hope to use his talents on happier occasions in the future.

:

Jane, Thank you very much for the kind review. Thank you for not mentioning that I was the last to arrive. I try to arrive before most everyone gets to an event. But I can't remember what happened that day. I do remember playing and really enjoying the seque into Amazing Grace. Do you know of a recording of that ? because I cannot remember what tune I played.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 28, 2017From Washington, DC

Robert played for my mom's 70th Birthday celebration in D.C. I live in Houston and was planning all of this long distance. The plan was to meet at our hotel and do a processional with him leading and playing the pipes to the restaurant. He was so amazing and accommodating. He even hid in the bushes so as not to ruin the surprise! Even more, he did the research as to the best route to the restaurant, he brought his smaller pipes to play inside the restaurant, he played my mom's two favorite songs. He was such a pleasure to work with and he is so so talented! I will never forget the weekend-- when he started playing-- we all got chills. So amazing. Thank you, Robert!

:

I love leading Processions. It reminds me of playing for Henry the 8th at Revel Grove. MARYLAND RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL.,,THANKS.

Robert did a great job for our wedding! He led a processional from the Naval Academy chapel to our reception a few blocks away. It ended up being an incredibly hot day and he didn't waiver. He really made the moment memorable. Thanks, Robert!
