Robert was a fantastic addition to our wedding, and added a unique element that will absolutely be remembered by the attendees. He was a pleasure to work with before the event, played the bagpipes amazingly well (a friend is a series bagpiper and he noted that Robert was very talented), and accommodated music and picture requests thus making sure everyone was thrilled. The bagpiper, Robert Mitchell, did an excellent job playing bagpipes for the funeral. He started with the Border pipes indoors at the funeral home, then he played the bagpipes outside at the cemetery. Mr. Mitchell led the procession from the church to the grave site. He was such a talented musician. Everyone loved his music.

Being very proud of my Irish descent, I really wanted to walk down the aisle to bagpipes. After doing a lot of research and speaking with a lot of bagpipers, I chose Robert Mitchell. Seeing all the different awards he had earned and how long he had been playing and of course listening to him play made the decision an easy one. I had to change my date several times, but he was very patient and understanding and it wasn’t a problem. On the day of he was on time, looking very authentic and professional in his kilt, and stuck to my do not play list even when the groom and his groomsmen requesting both of the songs! I heard many compliments from guests afterwards.

Arlington National Cemetery provide the military honors and the bagpiper, Robert Mitchell , played "Amazing Grace" at the end of the service. All the guests really felt that the bagpipes added so much to the service. Our hearts were lightened following the somber strands of this lovely tune played superbly on the bagpipes. The instrument sound beautiful and was the perfect tribute at the closing of the ceremony.

I had always wanted a bagpiper to play at my wedding ceremony, so when I got engaged, I looked on Gigmasters.com to search for one in the area. I found Robert Mitchell, who had received many great reviews, so I contacted him. He immediately sent me a CD of his music and told me he would play other selections if I would like. I had him play a few songs as guests arrived, during the ceremony and then afterwards prior to the cocktail hour as guests entered the reception site. He sounded wonderful and I got so many compliments from the guests. I would recommend him to anyone! Great job and thank you for making my day special!!

Robert is a terrific bagpiper! We would like to have him again at our next party, if he is available. He showed up right on cue, and dressed in highland attire. Robert Mitchell, bagpiper, was super. Having live bagpipe music was extraordinary and well worth the expense. I know I will always remember the experience, and I know most of my guests will, too.
Playing the Processional on the bagpipes from the balcony inside the church sounded amazing. At the end of the ceremony, Robert piped us down the aisle and out of the church and into our limo. He was excellent.

Robert was UNBELIEVABLE. His talent, professionalism, and personality are by far the best we could have hoped for. Everything he played was beautiful, and he went to extreme great lengths to provide us with the best music for our ceremony. My family and I talk about how one's love of bagpipes is "in the blood," and how the music beckons a reaction from inside that is difficult to explain. We engaged Robert Mitchell to play his bagpipes for our recent outdoor wedding. The music he played for the prelude brought style and panache to the start of the event. His playing of Ode to Joy and Highland Cathedral to accompany the entrance of the Minister, and of the Groom and Best Man, accompanying the ring bearer and flower girl, brought a lump to the throat. His Scotland the Brave recessional rounded off the ceremony in glorious style. Robert was a delight to work with throughout the planning process. He provided some excellent advice and suggestions, and understood and accommodated all of our wishes. He exceeded all of our (already high) expectations.

Robert provide the most awesome music prior to our daughter's wedding outside the very old Stone Church. The bagpipes sounded wonderful. All my guests were saying how much the bag pipes added to the ceremony. After the ceremony, Robert led the whole congregation to the George Washington Hotel. He play very cheerful music and greeted the guests at the entrance to the hotel. The whole experience working with Robert over the last 6 months was very enjoyable. I would definitely hire him again and recommend to anyone who needs a bagpiper. His bagpipes sound so good in the hands of a true professional.
