Hale has an amazing and soalful voice and performed with one guitar and one bass that, together, made a perfect sound for our party. Several guests commented throughout the night on how good the band was (which is what a host always wants to hear).

We are very happy with Hale Baskin and her band, she really made our wedding special and we got lots of positive feedback from our guests. In the lead up to the event, it was a little hard at times to get in touch with her - however, she explained the situation to us and she is getting a personal assistant to help her in this area.
That aside and just to reiterate, Hale Baskin is an amazing performer! She really knows how to work with the space and the crowd, her band sounds fantastic and Hale has an amazing voice. Not only that, she's a very nice person.
Would definitely recommend her - she's well worth it.

Not impressed. The point of contact was out of town on the actual event date but left me no substitute contact person so I wasn't able to confirm any last minute details with anyone or obtain specific information required for gated access (For them!).
Their breaks were longer than 15 minutes and their primary concern seemed to be getting something to eat. At the end of the night Hale came looking for payment so clearly, there was a lack of communication between herself and her own booking agent who I had already paid in full weeks prior.

This was outstanding jazz and a lot of charisma to go with it. My only bit of constructive criticism would be that Hale be a bit more conscious of how she uses the microphone. When she had the mic in her hand everything was clear and one could understand every word, but when the mic was in the stand, for some reason her diction tended to be lost. This was consistent throughout the evening. Perhaps a different mic might take care of it.

I appreciate the professional suggestions and I have changed to a boom mic stand so I can get close to it without stepping on the base. My Sennheiser e945 seems to do the job and changing the stand made it comfortable to work the mic properly. I am glad you made this observation as most listeners would probably not pick this up. We got many compliments on Hale and the band. My husband and I met swing dancing, and we have lots of friends who do it as well, so we really wanted that to be the type of music and atmosphere at our reception. She definitely helped to make my wedding reception a success!
My only complaint is that she was a little difficult to get in contact with in the weeks leading up to the wedding, sometimes taking a couple weeks to answer my emails. This made the process a little stressful, but in the end, she was there as planned and all was excellent.

Hale is a spectacular performer. She and her band have true talent. I am glad that I made the decision to hire her. I would absolutely be willing to hire her again for the future and recommend her to others. I would, however, be very specific in the future about what is expected of the band in both equipment and appearance. Equipment issues were worked out before the event but not without extra time and effort given and while Hale is a lovely girl it would have been my professional preference for her to have been a bit more modestly attired for our formal corporate function. Overall, an incredibly talented performer and wonderful show with room to grow.

She has a beautiful voice and was very professional.

Nightmare began when I had 10-15 unexpected guests arrive and my chef had to feed those people.. I asked my chef to feed photographer and videographer while we ate... but no food left because of the unexpected guests The band walked off stage and threatened to leave if there was no food for them. My friends had to rush to get food which wasnt a problem, but had me panicked and freaked out. in the end-Coordinator said she yelled at chef. The singer supposedly asked chef if " did she purposely tell you not to feed us" NO WAY. We got awesome food at Big Shucks. I was apologetic but had no control. They did stay and finish the show till the end. Great singer/talented.

Ms. Pham omitted several details in her review, such as the multiple breaches of our contract which led to us informing her that we would be unable to continue the performance. She attempted to make us play outside in the rain with no shelter (breach #1), expected that we would somehow be able to share a single power outlet with all lighting equipment and 5 band members (breach #2), and finally after we had been at the venue for 5+ hours, informed us that there would be no meal provided for the band (breach #3). It was evident that Ms. Pham had not even read our contract, yet we still provided services until third breach. We ended up finishing the performance.

The Jazz Addiction is outstanding with some of the best jazz musicians in Texas. My only suggestion is that the band include in their mix of selections a few more slow ballads and an occasional selection featuring only the instrumentalists.
Otherwise, the band was very well received by our audience of senior residents and I would strongly consider having them back for a repeat performance.

The Jazz Addiction were PHENOMENAL! I can't say enough wonderful things about them! They were prompt, courteous, professional, and of course immensely talented. Our guests were raving all night. Will be looking for any excuse to hire them again!

Hale Baskin was very professional and accommodating. She and her band is so talented. She has a beautiful voice and a very engaging style. Her band is top notch too. They play many styles with ease. I would recommend them for any type of event. We got many compliments from our guests on the band. She also handled the MC duties effortlessly.
