We have hired two magicians from Gigmasters in the past. The first one was pretty good(just OK) and the second one was lousy so we were a little hesitant hiring another one. We just had John Carlson at our Family Picnic/birthday party and I can not tell you how pleased we were. He performed for all the different ages and adults. Today, the day after my party two of my guests called and asked for his phone number. Everyone was amazed at his performance and my sister inlaw was crying she was laughing so hard. John was very professional as he called me and emailed me to reconfirm(setting my mind at ease). I can't say enough...don't hesitate to hire John Carlson!

Arrived on time, set up by himself, entertained the kids as they arrived with balloon sculptures, mesmerized them with the show that included pulling a rabbit from a hat, having a live dove materialize out of paper napkins, using a puppet, and involving the kids. Made them laugh with no potty talk!

This is the 2nd time we had John Carlson. He performed for our daughter's party 3 years ago and he just did a party for our 10 year old son. FANTASTIC! I was amazed how he was able to put on a completely different magic show for the older kids compared to the younger kids who were at my daughters party. He made my son feel extra special! I also wish my friend told me she was getting a magician for her kid's party because I would have recommended John. The other guy did not even show up and her son was so upset. John always gets to the party early and he even calls on the cell phone when he is on the way there. A TRUE professional. Can't wait to see his show again!

We hired John Carlson for a 40th surprise halloween BD party. He was extremely professional and quite talented. Live animals, audience participation, ventriloquism, personality Plus, clean humor, and on time! The show lasted approximately 1 hr and had everyone, young & old, enthralled. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an all around entertainer that has a wonderful way with people of all ages. I will definitely hire him again in a heart beat. Thanks, John!!

I first spoke with John Carlson about a month or so before my son's 7th birthday party. My first impression of John was professional yet down to earth, which means alot in my family. We are the type of people who enjoy having a good time while taking life with a grain of salt. John Carlson was a PERFECT FIT. He was entertaining for the children as well as the adults. I found it refreshing to see someone actually enjoying what they do for a living. John Carlson is not only a fantastic magician and vantriliquist, but a terrific comedian as well! I WAS SO VERY PLEASED WITH JOHN'S ENTIRE SHOW. HE WAS FUNNY,EXCITING AND FRIENDLY. THE KIDS AND ADULTS HAD A GREAT TIME WATCHING JOHN'S WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE.
HE IS BY FAR THE BEST VENTRIOQUEST I HAVE EVER SEEM.

John Carlson was the highlight of my son's 1st bday party!!!! We had about 300 people and that included about 80 something kids from babies to teens and he was absolutely amazing with them all!! The magic show was a HUGE success! The interaction with ALL of the guest; the humor from beginning to end was well worth every bit of the price! John arrived promptly as we discussed and the SHOW was a HUGE hit! I will use him again "forsure"! My sons first birthday party was an experience that NO ONE will forget! I am so happy that I did not hire a "clown". John did everything that he spoke about and then some! I am so happy with how the whole thing turned out! I loved how he including different kids for the show. I will most definitly be telling everyone I know(who wasn't there) about how amazing he is. John Carlson's performance in one word: AWESOME!! His presence and show made the party extra special, the kids loved him!! And the parents equally did as well, he was wonderful with all the children, and at the end of his performance made them all animal balloons that they simply were thrilled about. He arrived and set-up on time and was very professional and thorough. I received many compliments from both the children and the adults. Everyone really enjoyed his show and I appreciate his work very much. I would highly recommend him for any event that you would like to add some fun entertainment to.

Great performance. I hired John to perform magic for my five year old daughter's birthday party. We had lots of young children and their parents. The children had a wonderful time and were facinated with the magic tricks, animals, puppet, and balloon creations. (Although some were afraid of the "invisible" flea. Go figure.) The parents raved and enjoyed John's humor geared towards the adults. John helped to make the party a great success. Most importantly, he made my daughter feel extra special by making her part of the show and she had the best time. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend.
The party was two weeks ago, and people are still talking about it.

Simply , a wonderful show that left all of laughing into tears. The talent, one -liners , and overall comedy was the best we have seen in a long time. John was so warm and friendly with both the children and adults. He arrived promptly and was ready and waiting to perform for the children.
All of the parents thought his act was hysterical, appropriate for the group and they loved seeing the kids interact with John.
