I worked with Donald over the phone to schedule his service for my mother's funeral. I am in NJ, my mother's funeral service in OH, and Donald in MI. I cannot be more pleased with his service. He worked with me during a difficult time, assured me he'd find the cemetery, be there 30 minutes before the service, and not to worry. He was 100% right. He was a pleasure to work with, prompt, and played beautifully. He set the tone for a lovely service. I know my mom would have loved it (and him!).

Donald Ross is the consummate entertainer.He is a very talented musician,an articulate story teller and a total gentleman.His expertise with the bagpipes are well known,but being a party to a live performance from Donald was a rare treat.My wife and I are extremely happy we booked Donald and everyone at our gathering agrees.Very humorous and very knowledgeable.He created an atmosphere that ran the whole gamet of our emotions.I highly recommend Donald !

A consummate professional. Mr. Ross is not only a top-notch bagpiper, but he was cool and helpful throughout. He even contacted the church and funeral director himself, so he could coordinate with them regarding the logistics of his performance within the funeral. This was much appreciated, since we had never planned something like this before, were doing it at the last minute, and had no idea how it was supposed to work. Don took all of the guesswork out of it for us, and saved us from being the middeleman, which we could not have been more grateful for. In the end, his performance was impeccable (you can see videos of him on youtube). STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

Donald was phenomenal. Discreet, yet caring & engaging. He played everything we wanted. I was told by multiple people how amazing having a piper there was. His wife & kids all said how Bruce would have loved it and are forever grateful to have him honored that way.
The Amazing Grace at the beginning caused many a tearful eye. I do not know if he saw the surprise and smiles on several people as we were walking away from the ceremony and they realized he was playing Hail to the Victors; later followed by Anchors Away as we drove away.
How do you thank someone adequately who provided such emotion & peace to a very difficult time? We simply "Thank you" Donald.

He is very nice and very accommodating, he made my grandpas memorial exactly what my grandpa would have wanted.
He even found music to a song that he did not know, and learned it for our service. I have mothing but good things to say about Mr. Ross.

Donald was absolutely a is a blessed musician that was a pleasure to work. I was an out-of-state bride that solely knew that she wanted an organist and a bagpiper to play highland cathedral for her processional. Donald was able to coordinate with our local organist to work out the timing of the piece, proper positioning so he didn't blow out my guests' eardrums and all other details of the event with very little direction from me. I truly appreciated his professionalism and "take it off her plate" attitude... something I think can only be done by a performance veteran with impressive skills and knowledge of music. You'd be lucky to have him at any event!!

Donald Ross was so very professional, cordial, and talented. It was he who made our Scottish reunion truly special. He was kind to play requests and to visit with family members . We felt like he was one of our own. We never expected him to stay and visit with our family. We knew he understood how special our heritage was to us. He picked up when people were moved by his piping or wanted to tap,their feet and dance. He was truly wonderful and we as well as anyone at our reunion would recommend him to play for anyone's function. He was dressed in detail and was absolutely wonderful! He is a gem.

Donald Ross is a true professional. Not only is he an extremely talented bagpiper, he's also an experienced, smart, kind, considerate and easy-going guy. He's incredibly easy to work with. We couldn't have imagined using anyone else but Mr. Ross on our wedding day. We continue to receive compliments about the performance and how beautiful the ceremony was. It truly was an amazing ceremony and having the bagpipes made it even more amazing! A+++
