Robert was exactly what we had hoped for in a bagpiper! He was very easy to get in touch with and we had great communication. He listened to our requests and followed through exactly as we had discussed! He gave us suggestions for songs and they were perfect. He called a few days in advance to confirm again, and showed up early to our reception. His formal scottish uniform that we chose was wonderful. For our McGehee-MacNaughton wedding, it was exactly the tone we were going for. He was very friendly, yet professional. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone, and I would be more than happy to be a reference for anyone considering hiring him. Thank you Robert!!

We hired Mr. White on very short notice. While I love the bagpipes I am not familiar with the music so I trusted Mr. White to help me choose the songs for the processional and recessional. I was very worried when my outdoor wedding had to become an indoor wedding as I feared the bagpipes would be too loud and we would have to cancel them; much to my relief, Mr. White had a small set of pipes for indoor use and it worked out perfectly. Aware that we hadn't heard the full blast of the big pipes, he played outside for us during the reception. He is experienced and personable and loves what he does and enjoys seeing others respond to his music.

Robert J. White is a talented and gifted musician. Sir Robert performed at our retirement ceremony and party for a retiring Fayetteville Police Detective Sergeant. Sir Robert was very accommodating. He recommended and set up his program. He received accolades from all in attendance. Sir Robert made the event. We are looking forward to many return performances in the future. Bravo, bravo Sir Robert. We thank you.
Country Club Event•Reviewed on October 19, 2007•From Holly Springs, NC
Mr. White was outstanding !!!! He helped us plan what we were trying to do with the bagpipes and we were the talk of the club for several days. His costume (Kilts) was very impressive and I am sure it was authentic. Also I am confident that in the future where a bagpiper is needed, we will call on Mr. White for the outing.

Robert understood our desire for traditional Scottish music to help us celebrate our wedding and Scottish heritage. He adapted well to our setting and we received many compliments on his performance. I was slightly nervous when he had not responded to my first email but he very promptly returned my call and eased my concerns when we were getting close to our wedding date. He was very friendly and enjoyed to speaking to many of our wedding guests. Thank you, very much, Robert, for making our Scottish wedding a wonderful experience.

Handles most request willingly. Sometimes wants to change things to his way of thinking, not the way things have been designed or scheduled. When asked, his input is greatly appreciated. This particular event did not have any special request. Program had to be cut short due to time and weather. Improvision had to be implemented. He adjusted fine. His performace added to the overall ceremony and family members of the ball teams offered him their thanks for all he does for the military.
Funeral•Reviewed on November 13, 2012•From Jacksonville, NC
Robert White and his haunting bag pipes were absolutely superb. We were unsure of how the various stages of my brother's funeral would play out, so we could give Robert no specific instructions. But he figured out everything for himself and the result was a dramatic, touching performance, at the funeral mass, at graveside, and at the dinner afterwards.
Robert is a master of the bag pipes and, because of him my brother's funeral was just as my brother would have wanted. Robert is the best.

As a nervous bride and friend of the nervous bride, when we first hired Mr. White we were concerned because it seemed it would be so long from that time until we talked to him again. However, when the day finally arrived he was awesome! We had forgotten to let him know we had moved the wedding up by 1 hour and he was still unruffled and accommodating. Throughout the entire event, Mr. White was pleasant, professional and very comfortable in his role. His calming and reassuring nature was exactly what we were looking for! He helped to make our event successful!

He was WONDERFUL!! Our residents loved him, some of ladies were disappointed that he was married thought:( He explained the history of the bagpipes and brought 2 sets with him. Our room has horrible accoustics so we are waiting for the warmer weather to bring him back to play outside in the coutyard. I would recommend him for anyones events. We can't wait until he comes back! Thanks Robert

Robert was very professional and traveled a long way to be a part of our celebration. We appreciate that he tried to learn a new song just for our wedding. He was very entertaining, and everything you would wish for in a bagpiper. He added the extra special touch to our wedding, and we were very happy to have him. We recommend him wholeheartedly.
Private Party•Reviewed on May 13, 2012•From Durham, NC
Mr. White was genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. He made a grand entrance, played a very nice set and then mingled with our guests. He played another set, and then spent time with a group of us who wanted to know more about how the pipes work. He was a consummate professional and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Robert's performance was exceptional and added so much to our Memorial Service! My only hesitation for recommendation would be with respect to the cost for his services. I personally thought his rates were a bit high, especially since we deal with a limited budget, but we needed a bagpiper and I could not locate an alternative. In truth, I have already recommended Robvert to another group. However, when I mentioned his rates, I was told by the group in question that they could not afford him, although they too thought his performance was exceptional. R. Lewis
