Robert and his band were AWESOME!! Great communication beforehand and his calm demeanor quickly puts you at ease. They showed up SUPER early to get everything set up. Once the music started, they kept everyone on the dance floor for over 2 hours! Fantastic energy, fun music and great people to work with. They played the 2 songs we wanted and the rest of the set list was a total surprise and they do a great job reading the crowd. Book these guys!!!

Robert Mabe Band was fantastic! They were a big hit at our wedding. They did a completely acoustic set in the woods for our ceremony and it was perfect. Robert was so accommodating with my reception because we didn't know if we would want them to end up playing outside (if it was warm enough) or if everyone ended up at the bonfire. He was willing to work with either scenario depending on how it went. Turned out, everyone wanted to keep dancing so they brought the house down inside! :)

WOW! My husband and I simply don't have the words! The Robert Mabe Band garnered SO many compliments from our guests, and completely set the atmosphere for our wedding! Robert was so accommodating and easy to work with, my only regret was not getting to introduce myself and thank them in person! We cannot recommend them highly enough!

A duo from the Robert Mabe band (one guitar, one banjo) just performed at a faculty, staff, alumni BBQ on our small campus -- Emory & Henry College. The music was fantastic and received very high praise from many at the event. Robert and band are extremely professional, communicative, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. These are very high quality musicians, so we definitely got our money's worth. They played the perfect set for the size of our crowd at the perfect volume. I'd really like hearing the whole band sometime. We will certainly invite them to come back to E&H again! Thanks Robert and band!

These guys were awesome! My wife and I booked them to play our wedding ceremony and reception. They were very communicative throughout the whole process, from booking to logistics, to planning the music. They even learned our first dance song, which was really cool. At one point in the night, I got up on the stage to make a special request. They told me they didn't know the song, but that I could play it if I could play guitar. So they let me up on stage and handed me a guitar to play and they followed along. An unforgettable experience - would highly recommend.

Robert made an effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted for our wedding day. They are a great bluegrass band and they were super friendly with our guests. We got so many compliments from our guests.
They played an acoustic set at our apple orchard wedding during dinner - it was just as charming as it sounds. Perfect!!

Robert Mabe Band was excellent and SO fun to have at our wedding. Robert was very reassuring, flexible, and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. They were accommodating in playing songs that we requested, yet also recommended appropriate songs when we weren't sure. They played during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing. Everyone was dancing! All the band members were very friendly and seemed to be genuinely having a great time too! We are so glad that we booked Robert Mabe Band for our wedding - much better and more unique than getting a DJ. Thanks!

We were so genuinely impressed with the quality of the performance. The band is so unique and talented. I would highly recommend Drymill Road for anyone planning a fun backyard event. They played traditional bluegrass beats and mixed it up with some Grateful Dead and Talking Heads. Everyone who attended (and even some neighbors who didn't) were highly complementary of the band. I would definitely use them for a future event. What a great, laid back group of performers. They even left me with a great CD to remember the occassion.

Robert and the guys are super nice, arrived right on time and played great stuff. I had my new office opening and it wasn't a huge space but it was a very important day to me and they nailed it. I wanted good bluegrass music which they delivered flawlessly! It was fun and only instrumental so nobody even had to shout to talk, and everybody loved them. I will definitely be tracking their shows and recommending them to anyone who will listen. Book these guys, they are great and a lot of fun.

Everything was first rate -- band arrived on time, music was great, eveyone commented on how well they played and what good musicians they were. They were also willing to do a personal request that required learning an old song with our revised lyrics, and pulled it off nicely! Given the small size of the party (about 35 adults), they played acoustic sets, creating an intimate environment. All in all a delightful afternoon.
