Republique - The Alcove Wine Bar in Los Angeles, CA

Republique French restaurant presents its Alcove event space for private dining occasions. This establishment is housed within a historic building that adds to the charm of events held here. Built in 1928 by Charlie Chaplin, this space was originally designed as a multi-purpose property. Before opening in 2014, the owners of Republique stripped back this building to reveal much of its original features which can still be seen today. The Space The Alcove is an intimate space that is able to accommodate between two and eight guests. This room is situated above the main dining room of Republique and allows attendees to watch the revelry below. Exposed brick walls surround a large farm table here, which is lit by a vintage globe lantern suspended from above. A concrete carving allows light to filter into this space from a deep-set window, perfectly illuminating this private dining room. Here, friends and loved ones can gather together to dine and converse in a cozy space which is tucked away from the main restaurant area. The Experience The Alcove is an ideal setting for clients and their guests to experience the venue’s exclusive tasting menu. Events held here can choose from a wide variety of French-inspired cuisine that has been created using seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Fresh bread and pastries are baked on-site each day, giving guests the option of a sweet treat.
