I reached out to the Amherst String Ensemble just a couple of weeks before my daughter's wedding. Their manager, Charlie, was extremely helpful and professional and provided a lovely violin and cello duo for our ceremony. Despite the short timeline, the musicians were able to accommodate all of my daughter's requests for specific selections, and the music was beautiful from the prelude to the recessional. We are grateful to the Amherst String Ensemble for adding so much warmth and joy to our celebration.

They messed up the recessional. As the bride and groom were leaving the chapel they didn’t start playing until they were almost out the door. I was so upset by this!! This is one of life’s greatest moments and they didn’t get it. Just silence. And some notes were squeaky

The Amherst String Ensemble string trio performed at my daughter's Williamstown, MA outdoor wedding including prelude and cocktail reception. Their musicianship was outstanding and they were really organized and accommodating with regard to booking, music selection, and event details. Communication in preparation for the event was excellent. The musicians arrived early and configured the performance areas as needed. The music was excellent and included a new arrangement of a requested piece of music. The guests were very impressed and the sights and sounds of the live performance added an exclamation point to the day.

From the start the expectations were clearly stated and on the day of the wedding event, they far exceeded those expectations! They accommodated our special requests, and when the outdoor wedding looked like it was going to be ruined due to unexpected rain showers, they helped rescue the wedding and made the day extra special for the wedding party by entertaining our guests. They went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute requests as well.

The music sounded so very beautiful both in the church and at the reception, it was more than we could have prayed or hoped for. My husband and I truly enjoyed the classical string trio.Our guests were delighted and thoroughly enjoyed themselves throughout the day.Several guests commented on how not only what an excellent time they had but just how perfect and elegant everything was, my mother included in that review. I would strongly recommend the amherst string ensemble for others events without hesitation.The string trio helped make our vision of our wedding day come true.We truly appreciated the pure talent, professionalism, and quality of all involved.

We have spent the last ten days reflecting upon our daughter Linda's wedding. We must thank Amy and the ensemble for the special ceremony music. Your playing was a wonderful accompaniment to the cool, colorful fall afternoon. We appreciate the time spent rehearsing with our soloist.
