The Amherst String Ensemble provides the perfect musical touch for any occasion!  

Our musicians are the highest quality professionals in New England and we are willing to work with you to accommodate all of your musical needs.  

We offer many ensemble formats ranging from:
solo string instrument
duo
trio
string quartet; winds may also be added.  


Our repertoire is vast and is comprised of classical, popular, religious, jazz, international, and folk styles.  

We take song requests and will happily find music or arrange a few tunes for you.  Some past requests include Beatles, Elvis, Italian favorites, and Celtic music.

Communication in preparation for the event was excellent. The musicians arrived early and configured the performance areas as needed. The music was excellent and included a new arrangement of a requested piece of music. The guests were very impressed and the sights and sounds of the live performance added an exclamation point to the day.

From the start the expectations were clearly stated and on the day of the wedding event,  they far exceeded those expectations! They accommodated our special requests, and when the outdoor wedding looked like it was going to be ruined due to unexpected rain showers,  they helped rescue the wedding and made the day extra special for the wedding party by entertaining our guests.  They went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute requests as well.  

Lovely playing, choice of music and arrangements. Personable and really made the day a magical one. A wonderful birthday celebration.
