This Mother's Day, you'll want to think about what kind of celebration your mom wants to have. Whether it's a small gathering with your immediate family, a one-on-one with just you and your mom, or a larger celebration with a bunch of family and friends — just make the decision ahead of time, so you can plan around the numbers.

Get Outside

Whether you've chosen to have an intimate gathering or a big party this Mother's Day, why not celebrate outdoors? As long as weather permits it, enjoy the fresh air and spring-time flowers with a BBQ, picnic, or a dinner party around the patio table.

Hire Entertainment

Take your Mother's Day celebration to the next level by hiring some entertainers to join the party! Consider booking a band and enjoying some live music in her backyard, a fortune teller to give out psychic readings, or even an Elvis impersonator to make an appearance.

Have fun with your Mother's Day menu with your mom's favorite things to eat and drink. Consider ordering takeout from her favorite restaurant, or put together a potluck meal of all of her favorite things.

If your mom appreciates a good cocktail, you might want to consider hiring a bartender to shake up something special — or even to host a mixology workshop you can do together.

Have a Picnic

If the weather permits it, pack a picnic basket and set up a spread with your mother's favorite snacks and beverages. Keep it simple and host in your own backyard, and maybe even consider hiring a band to get some live music going for y'all to enjoy!

Host a Dinner Party

Or host an intimate dinner party with your family, and cook up something delicious for everyone to enjoy on Mother's Day. If you really want to impress her, consider hiring a caterer to help you prepare something extra special.

Set Up a Slideshow

Paint Together

Set up a painting station and get creative together this Mother's Day. Even if y'all have never painted before, it'll be a fun way to bond — and your mom will appreciate the thought.

Psychic Reading

Treat your mother to an evening of the occult with tarot cards and glimpses into the future. Even if you're not totally sold on the realm of psychic readings, it'll be a great way to start some interesting conversations. Make it even more interesting and hire a Fortune Teller or tarot card expert for a guided experience.

Find Psychics

Play a Game

Plan to play a game together this Mother's Day by bringing over a stack of board games, choosing an online gaming platform (like Jackbox!), or even setting up outside for bocce ball or ring toss. Consider trying something new and organizing a murder mystery game for you and your family to try!

Happy Hour
