I knew from their samples that String of Pearls would be excellent. They arrived very promptly at my wedding and set up outside in the horrible humidity without complaint. They did an absolutely fantastic job and had an excellent sense of when and what volume to play at. I'd always wanted a group as professional as String of Pearls at my wedding, and that's just what they were.
They even took some time to play with the bride's cousin, who brought his ukelele. I'm sure it made the wedding for him! I'd definitely recommend String of Pearls to anyone around here. I couldn't be happier.

String of Pearls are not only phenomenally talented but also are amazing to work with. Susan went above & beyond to help plan our music selection - she was extremely accommodating with our less traditional music requests, helped find the sheet music that she did not own, & was willing to meet with our singer to practice before the wedding. She & the guitarist play beautifully - it seemed like every one of our guests complimented us on the ceremony music. They were also extremely flexible - the priest told our bridal party to walk in too early to the wrong music but they adapted the music & made it seem natural. Go with Susan, you won't be disappointed!!

I highly recommend String of Pearls! My overall experience with them was excellent! I had all kind of requests for them and they just went out of their way to play what I wanted when I wanted it. The months preceeding my wedding were very hectic but string of pearls made it incredible easy by reaching out to me, making suggestions and accomodating to the different changes I made (many of them at the last minute). Great personalized service since I had direct access to them through e-mail and phone. Great talent and the best pricing out of every quote I got. Thank you so much!

What a fabulous band! Comments from our guests: "Where did you find the band, they're fantastic!" "I could see them playing at the Kennedy Center or the White House!" "They are just perfect for the event."
Yes, I would highly recommend String of Pearls, whether it's a small indoor event or large outdoor party. Amazing musicians and highly professional.

A friendly, talented group of musicians! Playing of great sonority, color, and nuance. Very clean ensemble playing. Bravo!! I am planning on hiring them to play again in a few months!

Susan was very responsive and proactive in assisting the planning and preparations of music for our ceremony. The logistics were complicated due to it being an outdoor wedding in downtown DC the day of a major event, but Susan made it happen! We had a string duo play at the ceremony and it was beautiful! Exactly what we needed to set the mood. Highly recommend Strings of Pearls!

Susan was so easy to work with, and when I expressed my budget concerns, she worked with me. I was able to select the instruments I wanted, and she made that happen, too. I didn't get a chance to hear much of the music as most of it was played before I walked down the aisle, but all the guests I spoke to said the music was wonderful. Thanks for helping to make our special day even better!

Susan's crew as fantastic!
First, they are extremely talented and played so many great Christmas Carols that were just perfect for our 'Old Fashioned Christmas Party' theme. Second, they were very professional and checked with me about the dress for the occasion so that they looked perfect for the evening. Finally, they were very gracious to allow a "flash mob" of carolers invade their space a little bit! This was sort of a last minute change and they were incredibly generous of their time and just went with it.
I will ABSOLUTELY call them again if I need a group with string talent--hands down, they are awesome!

Even though she could be there herself, working with Susan made everything incredibly easy. I was delighted the group learned and played an arrangement my sister prepared, and I was impressed with their poise, even under the extremely humid conditions.

String of Pearls played for my outdoor wedding ceremony. Susan was very responsive and easy to work with. The quartet learned a couple of new hymns for us, and the music for our ceremony was beautiful! Our only concern would be that the cello player left during our ceremony after the mothers were seated but before the rest of processional. Our ceremony was unfortunately delayed because our transpo. company was almost an hour late picking me (the bride) up, and as I understand it the cello player needed to be somewhere else. String of Pearls did play an extended prelude (30 minutes longer than they were supposed to), and we very much appreciated them doing so.

Susan:
Your violin and guitar duo where fabulous! It'll be one of my fondest memories from my 30th Anniversary Celebration. Especially my 1st dance to Moon River. My guest raved about the music you played. It made my celebration even more special. If you are looking for a violinist do not hesitate to hire Susan, she is professional, detailed oriented and a true artist. Her music is beautiful. Susan I hope to get a chance to work with you in the future!
Thanks for everything,
Saundra
