Dive In! Make a Splash at Your Next Pool Party

Emily Anderson

Are you planning a pool party this summer? Dive in with our guide for a safe and fun summer bash by the pool.

Safety First
Since you will be having kids at your party, it is important that the pool area is supervised at all times. Don’t count on being able to constantly supervise the pool all day- you're hosting the party, aren’t you? We recommend hiring a certified lifeguard to oversee the pool so you won’t have to play Baywatch all day!

Drink Up

Hire a bartender from GigMasters so you’re not left serving everyone at your party. Mix up some summer drinks for both kids and adults: mocktails for the kids, and the real stuff for the adults! Just make sure the bartender serves all drinks in plastic “glasses” to avoid shattered glass in and around the pool.

We love these watermelon margaritas for a refreshing poolside beverage.

If you're looking for a more unique beverage, try these Popsicle Cocktails. Want to make it kid friendly? Just leave out the alcohol!

Get Grillin’

Grilling is always a good way to go for a pool party. It's quick, easy and doesn’t leave a mess! Have some snacks out that guests can nibble on throughout the party. Below are some of our favorite poolside snacks!

We love the ideas of grilling Kabobs for a pool party, they are tasty and easy to eat!

Stock up

A fantastic party host always has extra pool supplies for their guests!  You can always count on someone to forget a towel, so make sure to have some extras out. Setting up buckets of bug spray and sunscreen is a great idea for guests who didn’t bring their own.

Décor to Dive for

Fill the pool with plenty of floats for your guests to lounge on. We love these rafts because they make for the perfect party decorations, and are also fun to play with!

Real Simple

Include some out-of-the-pool activities for your friends as well. Try thinking out of the box and hire a bubble truck or a dunk tank! Guest will go crazy over these fun activities.

Use all of these tips to make a splash at your next pool party!
